ASCENSION OF SA

We are ASCENSION from the great city of San Antonio, Texas. Our original band consisted of six members, with a blended style of Soul, R&B, Funk with a Jazz spin. Performances consist of original songs and well-known covers. Collectively, ASCENSION has more than thirty-five years of musical expertise.
ASCENSION was formed in 2016 by "divine intervention." Three of the original members were in another band but through a little prayer and Divine Intervention, Cocoa formed a NEW BAND. The NEW BAND consisted of like-minded people who desired to do something unique and different in the Alamo City. After a meeting of the minds & spirits, ASCENSION was born. The original five include Cocoa, Matt, James, Kat and Ed. Later we added the dynamic bass sounds of Geoffrey and the guitar skills of Kris - this completed the band now known as ASCENSION!!
ASCENSION has continued to evolve into the ultimate performance band.  A new sound has emerged- It is sensual, soulful, funky, hip and jazzy, with an even bolder look to boast!  If you liked Ascension of San Antonio before come check out the current musicians along with Cocoa (lead singer and founder)!  Ascension promises not to disappoint- come ascend with Ascension of San Antonio!!!
